Nighttime Closure of Southbound Palmetto Expressway

As part of the State Road (S.R.) 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project, southbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway travel lanes will be closed between NW 25 Street and just south of S.R. 836/Dolphin Expressway. Two southbound lanes will close on Sunday, Aug. 29 and Monday, Aug. 30 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. All southbound travel lanes will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 31 through Thursday, Sept. 2 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

As part of the State Road (S.R.) 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project, two westbound lanes on S.R. 836/Dolphin Expressway will be closed from east of NW 72 Avenue to the NW 87 Avenue exit ramp. The lane closures will be in effect, Aug. 26 through Sept. 1 (excluding, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) between the hours 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

As part of the State Road (S.R.) 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project, the exit ramp for West Flagler Street from southbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed. The closure will be in effect between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23 through Thursday, Aug 26. Southbound drivers on S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway who want to access West Flagler Street will be guided to the SW 8 Street exit ramp. Drivers will then head west to NW 87th Avenue where they will turn right to access West Flagler Street.

As part of the State Road (S.R.) 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project, all eastbound S.R. 836 travel lanes will close between NW 87 Avenue and S.R. 826. A detour will be in effect between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., Sunday, July 25. Drivers heading east on S.R. 836 who want to continue east or go to S.R. 826 will be guided to the NW 87 Avenue exit where they will travel south until they reach West Flagler Street. At West Flagler Street, drivers will turn east (left) until they reach the S.R. 826 entrance ramps where they can choose to head south or north and get on eastbound S.R. 836.

The westbound State Road (S.R.) 836 flyover ramp to southbound S.R. 826 will close between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 8. Drivers traveling west on S.R. 836 who want to go to the S.R. 826 travel lanes going south will need to stay to the right and exit on the S.R.826 South/Flagler Street loop ramp.

The contractor for the State Road (S.R.) 826/S.R. 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project will perform nightly lane closures on S.R. 826, S.R. 836 and the Milam Dairy Road Bridge between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. beginning Monday, March 8, 2010 through Monday, March 15, 2010.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 6 will be holding a Community Construction Open House Meeting for the Palmetto Expressway [State Road (S.R.) 826]/Dolphin Expressway (S.R. 836) Interchange Reconstruction Project on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mall of the Americas (near the Ross Store), located at 7795 West Flagler Street in Miami.
